Harry & David deliveries via FexEx

On 12/8 my package arrived from Hebron, Ohio to the facility to Martinsburg, WVA a trip of 317 miles. On 12/9 it was sent from Martinsburg , WVA to Clinton, Pa, a trip of 208 miles to a facility that was 100 miles from its destination.

The package arrived in Clinton, Pa on 12/12. Where was it for 3 days ?!?! On 12/13 it was in North Jackson Ohio, 64 miles further from a reasonable destination. ON 12/15 it was shipped to Grove City , Ohio ( near Hebron by the way) making it another 169 mile trek.

I contacted the Harry & David email customer service and got nothing but excuses. The 12/15 delivery date given to me was delayed again until 12/16. On 12/16 it was sent BACK to Clinton, Pa, another 168 mile trip. The delivery date was now changed to 12/17.

My package has bee traveling around in a gigantic confusing circle for 11 DAYS. This is clearly not an efficient delivery system for your product and customers.

In the future please use another delivery carrier. In discussions with the online customer service people could you please hire people that speak English CLEARLY?

Cannot reach with email

We received a Christmas gift wooden box. It arrived very damaged altho the outside cardboard shipping box did not show much damage. There were 2 bottles of wine which were fine. The "gift" wooden large box was demolished with the checkered top broken off and apart. The front panel would not line up to close. It was a huge disappointment. The only food item was the chocolate decadence round cake that was mushed. Sad. We did not want to embarrass our guest to advise them of the condition of the broken box, we simply disposed of it. Please do not send these out, but rethink this design. The baskets were by far more reusable and we never had one arrive so useless.

Customer service has still not resolved. They respond with "pat" answers as if they havent even read the actual complaint

My order of a Turkey and Duck, was supposed to be received 11/24. I spoke and chatted with several reps who continued to state it was on its way. On 11/24, I spoke with Fran who reached out to her supervisor to inform me that the order was cancelled and that due to not being notified in advance, so I could make additional plans for my Thanksgiving Party on 11/25, they would refund the order amount and still send in hopes it would still arrive by 11/25. It didn't. Then I spoke to numerous other reps who stated it would be here today, 11/29. It has not arrived. I have been on the phone with 2 other reps for over 2 hours trying to resolve. I only want was promised, and that was the full order to be shipped. One rep, after keeping me on hold for over 30 minutes, told me she was transferring me to a supervisor, which was just another rep. I am asking for this to be resolved and send the order as promised. I didn't make the commitment, your company did. Now out of principal, and making me hold and wait, I would like for you to honor your promise.

Everything they did was wrong and took too long

Placed order by phone because website wouldnt take coupon. Never got confirmation email with order. Took 3 weeks to deliver. Got to business late Christmas Eve when receiver was closed. They failed to include note to party so they had no idea who it was from. Took 3 phone calls just to get order #. They disgust me.

Horrible Customer Service

Called on Sunday December 5th,

Was calling in to see why when I tried to reorder from last years list when I went to check out none of the promos were posting to the check out section

So I called in and received someone who was either playing with me as I was frustrated because of the website well the rep continued to get my name wrong then my address and this kept on for like 10 minutes and I finally asked if she listened to what I gave her verbatim and spelled out each letter and still was toying with me, I felt it was worthy to give you all another shot because Ive never had issues with my orders before after about 6 years of ordering

Hope to hear from you with some sort of help for my two mere orders

Would not Honor Discount for Online Order

After 2 online chat sessions and 1 phone call, the $50 online discount for orders more than $199 was not honored. 2 representatives offered a 20% discount but that was not honored. Paid full price of $249.00. Phone call was 49 minutes and a promise of 20%. Not good customer service

Worst experience ever!

Looks like my experience is about the same as others. Ordered 2 boxes of Cinnabons on 12/6 and website stated "items are available to ship now".

Paid $23 for overnight shipping. Order status stated delivery would be 12/8. Items never arrived on 12/8 and Fedex tracking stated only that the label had been created. Never received any update on order status or communication that delivery would be late.

Contacted support on 12/9 and spoke to rep, only was told that items were "in transit". On 12/10 contacted support again since items still had not arrived and Fedex status had not changed. After being on hold for an hour was told again by rep that items were "in transit". Asked to speak to a supervisor, on hold again for 15 minutes.

Supervisor finally joined call and could only apologize for the delay. Could not give me any status on the order or expected delivery date, only stated that order was missing the internal tracking number and that it was "probably" in transit and "should" arrive in a couple of days. This was an outright lie. Supervisor would not enter a new order at no charge to replace the existing order to ensure that I would receive the items the next day.

Terrible way to address a customer issue. Demanded refund and was told it would be processed.

Still not processed. Most unprofessional company I have ever dealt with."

Order nightmare

Last Wednesday, 12/1/21, early evening, I called Harry & David customer service - order department. Earlier in the day I had tried to place an order on line using a promotion code they had sent me.

The order software would not accept the promotion code. I was connected with a very nice young lady from their Jamaica based call center. I could tell she was very new and was being monitored and assisted by a trainer. Very frustrating hour and fifteen minutes - she had to correct every entry (name, address, phone, email, etc) she made, sometimes multiple times.

She put me on hold after every entry and correction. I told her after 30 minutes that I had a dinner across town to get to - she assured me we would have the order finished before that. As I pulled up to the restaurant at the hour and fifteen minute mark the order was still not complete - I told her, and her trainer, that I was cancelling the order as they had wasted all of our time.

The next day I ordered a better gift basket from Costco - it was less expensive and there was no shipping charge - and it has already been delivered. My family has been ordering Harry & David holiday gifts for multiple friends and family for over twenty years - not any more.

Late Deliveries

I ordered the same basket for 5 recipients. One basket arrived on time (guaranteed by 12/16) and the remaining 4 arrived late, with one of those still not delivered and it is 12/22 and the tracker says it will not arrive until end of day 12/24- a full 8 days late. Not satisfied with this as the orders were time sensitive for various reasons and the guarantee was for delivery by 12/16, which was only met on one delivery.

Bad instructions

I LOVE Harry & David pears. However, if I follow the enclosed ripening instructions, all the fruit ripens at the same time and I end up giving most away.EVERYBODY DOES! Isn't it possible - as with avocados - to refrigerate the unripened fruit until needed. Then remove, and ripen, as many at a time as I can use? (Using all, of course, within a few weeks)?

I am the recipient of a Harry and David gift. When I opened the box, the fruit smelled bad. The ice packs made of brown paper were melted, and the pears were wet. We had one, and it tasted odd.

I hope your satisfied making money off people who are trying to celebrate Christmas. Or celebrate any occasion. Why would you put fruit in a gift that is obviously damaged. Andwand wet and unappealing? Its clear that you dont care. I dont want you cluttering my email with your advertisements. Damaged gift fruit packsge

The box contained 3 of 6 pears bruised & blackened. A call to your 800# was first a bot with zero options to describe the situation. A call placed later resulted in a recorded msg due to the high volume of calls translation its a 45-minute wait. Did not do that. The next morning a placed call wait was less than 10-minutes with a live courteous customer rep. She took the details of the complaint, repeated them back. Lastly, she stated the replacement date & mentioned she was sorry for the inconvenience.
